We are so excited to have Nicole from The Venue sharing with us today about this new venue in southeast Idaho and all it has to offer. We personally have been in this venue and love it!! It is the perfect place for weddings and receptions. Over to Nicole for today’s Feature Friday!
The Venue is an indoor studio and event center located at 142 E. Main Street in Rigby Idaho, right next to The Carmel Tree. We rent hourly for appointments, photoshoots, and parties during the week, and have event prices for larger parties, weekend pop-ups or markets, and wedding ceremonies and receptions.
How did you get started with your business?
I’ve been a wedding photographer for 6 years and after having a studio in Idaho Falls for a few years, I decided to look for a space closer to home (Rigby). I had looked at this particular space years ago (a fabulous building right downtown with natural light and tons of space), but the timing wasn’t right and it needed a lot of work, so I held off. But recently I was contacted by the realtor who asked if I would come look at again. It was newly renovated and the timing was perfect, so it was a great business opportunity for my parents and I to partner in. Already working in the wedding industry has helped me in marketing the space to brides and photographers, and being a photographer myself has allowed me to capture a lot of what has already gone on in the space in our first two months.
What wedding “style” would fit well in this venue?
What I love most about this space is that is open and pretty neutral. The exposed brick is really hip and what a lot of brides are pinning on Pinterest right now. We have warm tones in the wood trim and the brick and wood floors throughout, but cool tones in the paint colors and metal accents. This neutral base makes it the perfect fit for ANY style or color scheme. We have hosted soft feminine weddings, bold and funky receptions, and both rustic and modern parties and styled shoots in the space, all of which has turned out beautifully! The Venue is really unique and beautiful on its own, so you don’t need to do a lot to “dress it up” like you do with some locations. Beautiful chairs, table linens, and center pieces are really all that’s needed to bring your style and color scheme into the space.
How many people can the venue accommodate for weddings and receptions?
The Venue can accommodate up to 100 people for a sit-down dinner or ceremony and anywhere between 350-400 for open houses, receptions, proms or parties where people will be coming and going over the course of the event.
How far out should brides be looking to book The Venue for their wedding or reception?
We are typically booking brides 3-6 months out, but even if you need the space in a rush, just text us for date inquiries (208-313-4159) Sometimes we are super busy with weekday events and sometimes the weekends are more popular, but since we are so new we can sometimes find a date for you within the month, so it’s worth checking just in case. However, Fridays and Saturdays usually book up quicker than any other day.
What is included in the rental of The Venue?
Our basic event rental price gives you use of the whole building and parking areas for 12 hours in addition to the following:
- 5,500 square foot industrial/formal space
- building access from 10am – 10pm (or any 12-hour increment not to extend past midnight)

We have additional add-ons like different chairs styles and colors (as many as you need), additional tables, linens in various colors, table runners, napkins, microphones, etc. We also offer photography packages to brides if they haven’t chosen a photographer yet.
Do you have any advice for brides?
Don’t feel like you have to conform to the norm or what’s “expected” from a wedding. This is YOUR day, plan it according to what’s important to you and throw convention to the wind!
