To the Newly Engaged Bride

It was the proposal you will never forget and the ring that came along with it sparkles and shines in the most beautiful way. It’s been all you can do to stop staring at it!! Congrats to you!!! This is such an exciting and thrilling time in your life! We know that it probably seems like your wedding is going to take forever to get here, it will be here faster than you think. This time in your life comes an goes quickly! Trust us, we know!! We’ve been married for just under 4 years and we know how fast that has gone for us. The engagement period will be gone before you know it.

Because of how quickly time will go, it is time for you to start planning, budgeting, scheduling, and booking!! There are so many options for each section of your day from dresses to cakes to florals to photographers to planners to venues. It can seem overwhelming and a little daunting as you begin to start to navigate your way through all of the vendors you are looking for. There are many ways you can find vendors and there isn’t a right or wrong answer to how you should try to find them. Friends and families might have suggestions and recommendations for you. If you take to Facebook asking for opinions, be prepared for an overwhelming response of opinions! Another option available for you is to find local bridal fairs, where different vendors all come together and are all in one spot just waiting for you to walk around and chat with them! These shows could be a really great chance for you to meet with new vendors or vendors that your friends and family have not had a chance to work with! Another option is to find wedding blogs or even our blog and Instagram and look over the images we have shared and look at the different vendors. When you find someone who fits your style, send an inquiry and get connecting with them. Each vendor you reach out to may have suggestions for other vendors that they have loved working with in the past and it could be really helpful to get their opinions and suggestions as well!

As always, be sure to do your own research on the vendors before hiring them. It is really important to find vendors who understand your needs for the wedding, matches your style, and who you can feel confident in. Recommendations are always great, just be sure to make sure that you are also taking your own wedding style into consideration as you choose to book vendors!
